Cardiff entertain Newport at the BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park tonight (Friday 2nd) at 7:30pm in the first game of the 2016/17 Principality Premiership.

The team shows several new faces in Blue & Black. In the front row 14 times capped Australian international Salesi Ma’afu packs down with Rob Lewis. Joe Tomlinson, who is in a rich scoring vein having crossed the line four times in pre-season, completes the front row.  Seb Davies makes his Cardiff debut in the second row with Ben Thomas moving up from the back row to be his partner in the engine room. The back row sees Luke Crocker, Morgan Sienaiwski and Joe Gaughan form a new combination.

Tom Slater partners Jarrod Evans at half back, with the Cardiff Blue another Blue & Black debutant. Club captain Luke Ford and Harry Millard make up a new centre partnership with Rhun Williams and James Beal, who both played against Taunton in pre-season, joining Ceri Young in the back three.
