Match Preview

Cardiff - Bedwas

Cardiff entertain Bedwas in the last of the first round of Principality Premiership first round fixtures at the BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park on Saturday.

The Blue & Blacks need to win and hope that Cross Keys do them a favour at Ebbw Vale to qualify for the top eight. Bedwas have already qualified into that top eight but will still be looking to finish on a winning note.

The Cardiff side shows two changes from last week in the backline. Will Rees Hole returns in the centre and Liam Free comes in at scrum half. In the pack there are several changes. In the front row Rhys Carre starts after being on the bench last week. In the second row James Murphy has an injury and is replaced by Ben Thomas.

In the back row Jordan Viggers replaces Luke Crocker who is another with an injury. The bench sees a new face, Joe Miles. James Whittingham is also amongst the replacements following his move back to Cardiff from Merthyr.
