Albert John Hybart was one of four brothers who played for the club. Born in Llandaff in 1865 he is reported to have played 71 games for Cardiff over four seasons (1884-5 to 1887-8) – the number of games is, however, unclear as he was confused with his brother (Arthur) in some historical accounts of the club. Albert was a forward whereas his brother, Arthur, was a full back. Albert won one Welsh cap, playing in the 1887 game against England.
