Lewis (Lew) Morgan Rees was born in 1910 in Treherbert. His union career started at Treorchy before a move to Cardiff for whom he played 89 times. In 1933 he won his only Welsh Cap playing in the game against Ireland. In 1934 he signed for Oldham Rugby League team and won five caps playing for Wales in Rugby League
Lew Rees died in Manchester at the aged of 66 in 1976.
