North Cornelly born Jonathan Humphreys played for Cardiff between 1989 and 2002 appearing for the Blue and Blacks in 240 games – many as captain. After 14 seasons at the Arms Park he moved to the west Country, ending his playing career with Bath. Always a player to lead by example he gained 35 caps (many as captain) also represented Wales in the Rugby World Cup in 1995 (South Africa) and 1999 (England/Wales). After retiring from playing Jon went into coaching with the Ospreys and then Scotland. He later coached at Glasgow before being appointed as part of Wayne Pivac's coaching team with the Welsh squad.
