Harold James (Hal) Jones played for Neath, Maesteg Cardiff, Glamorgan Police and Glamorgan County RFC. After a successful few years in Union during which he won two caps for Wales Hal changed codes and went to play Rugby League for Wigan. He later played for Keighley and played a number of tomes for Wales and Great Britain, being selected for the 1936 tour to New Zealand and Australia. Although primarily a second row forward he played at prop for Keighley in the 1937 Challenge Cup Final at Wembley.
