On the week-end of our cup semi final against great rivals Newport it is with sadness that we have to report the recent passing of Colin Prescott, who played for both clubs in the 1960s.
Colin played Prop at the Club between 1964 -65 before moving to play for Newport where he was a member of the 1968-69 team that won the Welsh Championship. He later played for and captained Penarth.
Colin captained Cardiff Youth and the Welsh Youth whilst playing at No. 8
After his playing days, he joined the Former Players Association and remained a member throughout his life.
Colin’s funeral will be for his family and will be held on Thursday 31st March at Thornhill Crematorium at 3pm.
