Ryan Powell (aka Peanut) played scrum half for Cwmbran, Ebbw Vale and Cardiff. He spent seven seasons at the Arms Park making 150 appearances for the club before moving to Worcester and then Northampton, his retirement coming as the result of a neck injury suffered while playing for Northampton. He represented Wales at U19 and U21 level as well as gaining full three caps, the first during the summer tour of South Africa in 2002.
