South African International Pieter Muller was a centre with a reputation for his strength and direct running. Born in Bloemfontein he moved to the Northern Hemisphere to play for Greystones in Ireland and then joined Cardiff. Winning 33 caps for the Springboks, Pieter had an unsuccessful stint in Australia playing rugby league with Penrith Panthers.
