Mathew Silva was a fullback who played for several clubs including Llantwit Major, Llandaff, St Albans, Rumney, Pontypool, Newport, Newbridge, West Hartlepool and Cardiff. He represented Wales Youth, Wales U21s and the Barbarians. In 2005 joined the Cardiff Blues as development officer for the Vale of Glamorgan.
