Cardiff travel to play Pontypridd on Saturday (13:00) for round 9 of the Indigo Premiership Cup
Sardis Rd hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for Cardiff in recent years, in fact the last win there was in 2009. The last few meetings have ended in narrow defeats and the Blue & Blacks will be keen to exchange a defeat for a win this time round.
Last week Cardiff eventually saw off Ebbw Vale in a game that was even for most of the first half, securing a bonus point in the process and the Blue & Blacks will be looking to continue their second half performance.
Head Coach Steve Law said ahead of the game “this is a very young side and they will go to Sardis Rd with no fear and will have no thought of the history of the Blue & Blacks not winning there for a while. All the coaching staff are very much looking forward to seeing this exciting group of players play on Saturday.
We would also like to the Bedwas RFC for the permits of Rory Harris and Craig Hudd (brother of Nathan) and wish Cameron Winnett all the best on his first senior start.”
