Cardiff – Ebbw Vale team news

Cardiff and Ebbw Vale lock horns at the Arms Park on Friday night in the Indigo Premiership cup.

Both sides will be looking to bounce back following defeats last week. The Steelmen went down to Pontypridd while the Blue &Blacks suffered a narrow defeat to closest rivals Newport.

Speaking ahead of the game Head Coach Steve Law said “Friday night will be a really big challenge and we are looking for a reaction to the Newport loss. We felt we had enough opportunities to win the game and we want this group of players to recognise that if you don’t take the chances when they are on offer then that will hurt you. We have been working hard with them on that this week, as the defeat wasn’t down to a lack of endeavour.

Cardiff RFC have a long injury list that we are battling with, Barney Nightingale, Ryan Edwards, Tom Habberfield, Morgan Allen, Sean Moore, Nathan Hudd, Gareth Allen, Evan Yardley and George Gasson all currently out of action meaning we have a number of changes this week. Alex Mann makes his senior debut and Rhys Anstey steps up to take responsibility for the second row. Both these young men have very bright futures and we would all like to wish them the best on Friday.”
