Cardiff RFC return to Super Rygbi Cymru action after a two week break against Aberavon RFC this Saturday at the Cardiff Arms Park (KO: 2:30pm).
The Blue and Blacks will be aiming to pick up their first win since their opening day 47-31 victory against Rygbi Gogledd Cymru in Colwyn Bay.
Come Saturday it will be Cardiff’s first outing in 21 days and this is due to a postponement and another weekend off due to a U19s and U20s alignment camp, where over 60 players came together.
They come into the match after Joe Goodchild claimed a brace and Gavin Parry scored his second of the season as the Blue and Blacks fell short at the Ciner Glass Community Stadium.

Pre-Match Thoughts
Speaking ahead of the match head coach, Dan Fish said: “Disappointed to have the game cancelled because of the weather last time out.
“We have had two weeks of good prep ready for Aberavon who have started the season well.
“We know the threats that Aberavon pose and we know the game plan we want to execute come Saturday afternoon.
“We haven’t forgot that the last time we played at the Arms Park wasn’t a good enough performance and we want to put that right Saturday.
“We welcome back some boys from injury and want to congratulate Osian Darwin-Lewis who made his debut for the senior side last weekend.”
Remember the last meeting at the Cardiff Arms Park?
The last time the pair met in the capital was on St David’s Day, where a late cross from Fraser Jones secured the spoils on that occasion with the Blue and Blacks also concluding their SRC Cup campaign.
Two second half tries by Alun Rees was accompanied by a penalty try and a Joe Goodchild score saw Cardiff pick up a dramatic 31-24 victory in the sunshine.
For The Wizards Ellis Lewis scored twice whilst Cori Lewis-Jenkins alongside Ellis Major also crossed the whitewash, which proved insufficient as after a pass from Josh Thomas it allowed Jones to score the winner.
