We have received the very sad news that Cliff Howe passed away last Friday, aged 86. He died peacefully at home following a short battle with cancer.
Cliff played 106 games in the Back Row for the 1st XV between 1961 – 65 scoring 21 tries. In 1961 he played in the Snelling Sevens and in the 1963 Cardiff v New Zealand game scoring the only try of the game.
After his playing days he coached Cardiff Youth and Bridgend Youth and was an active member of the Former Players Association, regularly attended the Annual Dinners.
Cliff was a great and loyal Club Man who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
We send our sincere condolences to his wife Susan, his sons Jeffrey and Christopher, his daughter Natalie and all the family at this sad time.
