The club have just heard of the sad news that former player Emlyn Cooke has passed away, we believe he was about 90.
Emlyn played in the Back Row for the Rags in the early 1950’s, winning his cap in 1950-1, and playing six times for the first XV.
He was a very keen golfer who played regularly at Radyr Golf Club and played in the Former Players Golf Day on a number of occasions, and was a member of the Former Players Association for many years.
Emlyn’s funeral will take place at 16.30 on Monday 20th February at Sirhowy Valley Crematorium, Pontllanfraith, Blackwood NP12 2YT.
Our thoughts are with Emlyn’s family at this very sad time for them.
