We have received the sad news that former player Frank Wilson passed away on Friday 27th December aged 80.
Frank played 37 games at the Club on the wing for the 1st XV between 1964 –’68 scoring 22 tries. In 1966 he played for East Wales against New Zealand.
Following his days with Cardiff RFC he went North where he played 310 games for St. Helens scoring 176 tries. In 1975 he played for the Wales Rugby League Team in the Rugby League World Cup.
He also played Workington Town, Warrington, Salford, Cardiff Blue Dragons and Bridgend Blue Dragons.
Frank was one of only a handful of Welsh Players to score more than 200 tries in their Rugby League Career.
After his playing days he coached Rugby League at the University of Manchester.
