Ken Thomas

Cardiff Rugby are saddened to learn of the passing of Ken Thomas, aged 87.

Ken joined Cardiff from Aberavon and played two seasons in 1957/58 and 1958/59 playing 39 times and scoring 15 tries. He won his Cardiff Club Cap in his first season. He re-joined Aberavon for the 1959/60 season.

Also well known by his nickname ‘Matey’ he was a huge character and great company, a one off.

The thoughts of everyone at Cardiff Arms Park are with the family and friends of Ken at this difficult time.
