Many will already be aware of the sad news regarding the passing of former player Carl Smith a few days ago.
Carl played 239 games for the 1st XV mainly in the Back Row, scoring 28 tries, between 1971 – 1980, one of which was against the All Blacks in 1978.
He represented Wales Youth and Glamorgan County.
Before joining Cardiff he played for Swansea and after his Cardiff Days he had 3 very successful seasons at Pontypridd.
Carl was a great player and a very respected member of the Club where he made many friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
