Born in Dowlais in 1866, David William Evans played 117 games for Cardiff between 1886 and 1894. His international debut came against Scotland in 1889 with his fifth (and final) cap being in the 1891 encounter with England. Was one of the first Cardiff players to appear for the Barbarians.
