John Wakeford was a police officer with the South Wales and played for South Wales Police, Cardiff, Bristol and Caerphilly, appearing 89 times in the Second row for the Blue and Blacks between 1993 and 1997. In 1988 he played two games for Wales winning his first cap against Samoa on November 12 the second against Romania on December 10th.
