Second row forward Matthew Screech made 45 appearances for Cardiff between 2011 and 2014. Having come through the age groups at Cardiff Blues and won international recognition for Wales at U16, U18 and U20 levels he saw his opportunities at the Arms Park limited, so at the end of the 2013 – 4 season he made the decision to move east to join the Newport Gwent Dragons.
