MacKenzie Martin came through the Cardiff rugby pathway and academy making his Cardiff RFC debut against Merthyr in the Indigo Cup game played on 27th November 2021.
He made his Cardiff Rugby debut in November 2023 (coming on as a replacement against the DHL Stormers) and within a few weeks he was called up to the Welsh squad for the 2024 six nations tournament. When Wales played Ireland at the end of February, Martin made his international debut, replacing team-mate Alex Mann.
