Cardiff have been drawn in Pool D of the Premiership Cup along side Merthyr and Llandovery.
The Blue & Blacks will play Merthyr at home on the 17th September and Llandovery away on 3rd December.
The group winners will move forward into the semi-finals later in the season.
Pool A: Ebbw Vale, Carmarthen Quins, RGC1404
Pool B: Pontypridd, Bridgend, Aberavon
Pool C: Llanelli, Swansea, Newport
Pool D: Cardiff, Merthyr, Llandovery
