Merthyr – Cardiff team news

Cardiff travel to Merthyr on Saturday looking to continue their run of wins in the Indigo Premiership that has seen them win three of the four games played so far.

The last time out a win against Pontypridd was earned with a bonus point “we were happy with the result overall and coming out on the right side of a big game is always good. But the margin of victory should have been bigger” said Head Coach Steve Law “and that has been our focus this week. We created lots of opportunities but need to convert those into points when they are on offer to build pressure.

Merthyr this week will not get any easier against a talented squad that will always be challenging at the top of the table. People may be focusing on their lack of results so far and we know it will be a huge challenge on Saturday. We will be expecting Merthyr to bring their best performance of the season on Saturday and they will expect the same of us. We will have to put in a performance to get a result and I sure the game will be a very high standard game, something we can all look forward to”
