Cardiff will kick off the 2022/23 season with two friendly fixtures in August at the Arms Park
First up will be Henley Hawks on Saturday 20th Aug (KO 14:30) Henley play in the English National League 2 South and finished mid table last time out. Formed in the 1930s the Hawks have been coached by World Cup winning coach Sir Clive Woodward. This will be the first meeting between the two clubs.
On Friday 26th Aug the Blue & Blacks entertain Ampthill from the English Championship. Ampthill can trace their history back as far as 1881, reforming after the second world war. A club with a thriving Mini and Junior section and they are currently coached by Paul Turner who is no stranger to Blue & Black albeit with Newbridge RFC.
Paul Turner’s side will provide Cardiff with a tough warm up before the Indigo Premiership starts in September. Ampthill are another side Cardiff have never played.
The Indigo Premiership is due to start the following weekend with the fixtures to be published shortly.
