Cardiff – Neath team news

Cardiff entertain Neath on Saturday in the Indigo Premiership looking to bounce back following defeat at Llandovery.

‘We were very disappointed after our performance at Church Bank, and even though it was nearly two weeks ago it is still stuck in our minds” said Head Coach Steve Law “ we want to put that right on Saturday and the team has been preparing well.

There are a few team changes this week with players returning from injury. Jason Harries plays his first game since signing for Cardiff RFC following his shoulder operation. And it is great to have an experienced player like Jason on the pitch.  Harri Wilde will make his first start for Cardiff RFC following his debut at the Drovers last week, again a very exciting player coming through the ranks.

In the centre we welcome Welsh International Willis Halaholo to the Blue & Black colours of Cardiff RFC for the first time. Willis needs game time again following injury and the chance to have that with us shows the synergy between Cardiff RFC and Cardiff Rugby. It also give the whole side an opportunity to play alongside a proven Welsh international, something that is sure to benefit both Harri Wilde and Luke Pollock inside and outside him.

Of course we cant forget our captain Morgan Allen who plays his 100th game for Cardiff RFC on Saturday. Moggs has been a near ever present since his first game back in 2018. We congratulate him on his achievement. There are also two potential debuts off the bench as local boys Christain Brooke (Barry) and Johan Hoogendoorn (St Peters) are set to make their first Blue & Black appearances after impressing in training”
