Cardiff – Newport team news

Cardiff entertain Newport in the Indigo Premiership at Cardiff Arms Park on Saturday looking to bounce back after the defeat to Pontypool two weeks ago.

Speaking ahead of the game Head Coach Steve Law said “it will be a big challenge on Saturday – we were on the wrong end of the result last time due to our own inefficiency and were very disappointed in the performance. We failed to implement what we had agreed and were very much off script, and that cost us the game.

The squad though have analysed that in the last two weeks and have trained really well in preparation for the game. We have a plan for Newport and we want to do what is right for us and what hurts them We will need to get our endeavour and attitude right on Saturday and be clinical . We need to build the positives and the points.

With the top 4 teams getting away this has become a very big game in the hunt for the playoff places and we will be looking to implement our game plan. There are a few changes due to unavailability but that brings opportunity. We know we have the talent, we just have to bring the performance”
