Cardiff RFC, in their opening Super Rygbi Cymru Cup encounter, will make the long journey to Colwyn Bay as they face Rygbi Gogledd Cymru (RGC) at Stadiwm Eirias (KO: 2:30pm).
The Blue and Blacks come into the contest against the Gogs off the back of an impressive 37-19 triumph against top-of-the-league Ebbw Vale.
Winger Joe Goodchild scored on his 80th appearance for the club whilst Alun Rees, Evan Rees, Elijah Evans, Dewi Cross, and Gwilym Bradley all scored, as Harri Wilde kicked seven points from the tee.
For Saturday afternoon’s hosts, they began their SRC Cup campaign in Pool A with a 21-10 loss at a sodden Pontypool Park last Saturday.

Pre-Match Thoughts:
Speaking ahead of the match, head coach Dan Fish said: “Attention turns to the Cup this weekend and a chance to have a look at the squad depth.
“A big opportunity for some boys who haven’t featured as much as they would have liked to, and a chance to see some more of our eighteens boys stepping up to senior rugby.
“RGC is going to be a big test, we know what happened last time we played at the Arms Park against them, and we need to make sure we get our detail right come Saturday.
“A big opportunity for us to start the cup competition on a positive note and one I’m looking forward to.”
Remember the last meeting at Stadiwm Eirias?
The last time Fish’s side travelled to North Wales was back in September, as the Blue and Blacks started the 2025/26 season with a hard-fought 47-31 victory.
Tries from Dewi Cross, Ben Fry, Ieuan Davies, Joe Cowell, Joe Goodchild, and Lucas de la Rua secured the Blue and Blacks an opening day six-point bonus point win at a sun-drenched Colwyn Bay.
For the Gogs that day, props Gareth Parry and Patrick Nelson scored alongside Dion Jones as Charlie Probert claimed a brace with scores in both halves.
