Cardiff travel the Aberavon in the Indigo Premiership on Saturday in a game that sees first play third.
Last weekend the Blue & Blacks scored a bonus point win at home to Bridgend to keep them on top of the table. The Wizards had a bonus point win of their own as they took Llanelli apart at Parc-Y-Scarlets. That leaves them 11 points behind Cardiff having played the same amount of games.
Cardiff have won the last two visits to the Talbot Athletic Ground and will be looking to make it three in a row. That won’t be an easy task as the home side have won all but two of their home games this season. And the visitors will already know how tough it is to beat the Wizards, the game at the Arms Park earlier in the season only being won with a late penalty kick 13-12 in what was an exciting game to watch.
Speaking ahead of the game Head Coach Steve Law said” in context of league ambitions this is a massive game with Aberavon third and ourselves ahead by a couple of games, there is a lot to play for. We are really pleased to welcome back some of the boys who successfully made the step up to the Blues last week, Max and Ioan, and we are grateful the Blues for allowing Filo Paulo to play for the Blue & Blacks given the injury situation the Blues have at the moment, and we would also like to thank Bedwas for allowing Gareth Allen to play for us despite them having a game themselves.
Last week was an excellent performance by the whole squad, as I said before the game the Ravens had pushed every side at the top to within a couple of points, but the way we played didn’t allow them into the game. This week we will be looking for more of the same. We have prepared well and are going into the game with a lot of confidence”
