Cardiff entertain Merthyr is the last scheduled game of the Indigo Premiership at the Arms Park on Saturday.
There is still plenty to play for though and Head Coach Steve Law says “even though it is our last regular game of the season we have plenty of motivation going into the game. We know a win would put us into the play-offs, something that we have been working towards all season.
There are players who are potentially playing their last games in Cardiff colours at the Arms Park and they will be looking to finish here on a high too. Add to that it being a local derby against what is a very good Merthyr side and it has the makings of a very high quality rugby match.
Merthyr will come here having been very close to beating one of the best sides in the league in Llandovery on Sunday and we are under no illusions as to how tough a challenge we face. But we have the quality of players and have prepared really well this week. We need to bring the performance to go with it on Saturday.”
