Ian Harold Eidman was born in Cardiff in 1956 and played for Dinas Powis, UWIST, and UAU before joining Cardiff. Ian played 226 games for Cardiff and won Secondary Schools, U19s, Wales 'B' and full Welsh caps. His ‘B’ cap was against France in 1982 and he then gained his full Welsh cap against Scotland in 1983. During much of his career at Cardiff he was packing down in the front row with two other Cardiff greats in Alan (Thumper) Phillips and Jeff Whitefoot.
