William "Pussy" Jones joined Cardiff from Cathays in 1895, playing 162 matches at Centre and wing over nine seasons, before playing seven games for Leicester. He won two Welsh caps, against Ireland in Limerick in March 1898 and England at Blackheath in April 1898.
