Hailing from the Rumney district of Cardiff Lewis Reece represented the local club at junior and youth levels before switching to Rugby league playing for the South Wales Scorpions and the Crusaders. He was capped at U18s and Senior level for Wales RL in 2011, but then switched back to Union playing for Pontypridd and also representing the Welsh 7s. In the 2012 - 13 season he played two games for Cardiff before moving to Neath and then returning to League, re-joining South Wales Scorpions. In 2017 he re-signed for Cardiff, but after two appearances among the replacements he left the club. In his two spells at the club Lewis Reece made four appearances for the Blue and Blacks.
