The club are sad to hear of the passing of another former player.
John Price passed away yesterday at the age of 89. John would have been 90 in February.
John joined the Club from Penarth in 1962 and played 76 games for the 1st XV in the Second Row between 1962 –‘68. He also made many appearances for the Rags and captained the side in the 1967 – 68 season.
He also played for Cross Keys and Glamorgan Wanderers,
After his playing days he joined the Former Players Association and was a very active member and a great supporter of the Association for many years, and until his recent ill health, he attended most functions.
John was a real character who was a Cardiff Rugby Club Man through and through. He made many life-long friends at the Club and he will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
We send our sincere condolences to his wife Mair and his sons Andrew and Gareth and all the family at this very sad time.
