Steve Law to leave Cardiff RFC

Steve Law, will leave his position as head coach of Cardiff RFC at the end of the current season. Steve joined the club at the beginning of the 2018-19 season and has overseen the  clubs most successful  period of the semi professional era. During his time at the helm Cardiff have finished as league winners, runners up on two occasions as well as leading the league when the covid pandemicprematurely ended the season. Cardiff have also enjoyed two cup final triumphs over Merthyr and Newport  over the same time period.

“ Steve has been instrumental in changing the fortunes of Cardiff RFC in the last few years. He transformed the culture of the club. The results speak for themselves. His ability to integrate quality experienced semi-professional players with talented academy youngsters has produced a winning environment and aided in the development of future regional and international players, namely

Ben Thomas, Max Llewellyn, Rhys Carre, James Botham, Teddy Williams, Will Davies-King, James Beetham, Theo Cabango, Alex Mann, Cameron Winnett, Mackenzie Martinand Lucas De la Rua.

It was Steve who suggested that Evan Lloyd  convert to hooker from the back row.

Steve leaves with our gratitude and best wishes. There will always be a warm welcome for him at the Arms Park. “
