Cardiff take a break from the Premiership as the first round of the National Cup gets underway this weekend.
The Blue & Blacks will be looking to build on the performances in recent weeks and especially following the win over Pontypridd on Tuesday.
“that is a short turnaround in terms of recovery” said Head Coach Steve Law “but having performed so well on Tuesday in securing a bonus point win and stopping Ponty getting anything the whole squad is looking forward to getting back out on the field again. Going to places like Tata is what the cup is all about and they will be very much up for taking out one of the Premiership teams, we will have to perform again to make sure of a second round fixture”
Tata will be no strangers to Cardiff either in the cup or this season. In August the Blue & Blacks sampled their hospitality when they played in a friendly and last season the sides met at the same stage of the Cup, Cardiff winning on both occasions.
