Cardiff – Ebbw Vale team news

Cardiff return to the Arms Park tomorrow night (Friday) having had a successful trip to North Wales last weekend.

The Blue & Blacks have now gone unbeaten through September and October and will be looking to win their sixth straight game in the Indigo Premiership.

Looking forward to the game Head Coach Steve Law said “we have had a great start to the season and being unbeaten is a reward for that, but we are setting ourselves standards not goals. The coaching team have been working very hard with the players to ensure those standards are met and that they are met consistently.

There are changes to the side this week, and we have made a few changes over the last few games. This is a reflection of the quality that we have within our squad and improves the healthy competitiveness for starting places. In the last few weeks we have brought in some of the younger players in the Blues Academy – Teddy Williams has played three times for us as an 18 year old, and this week we bring in Mason Grady on the wing. At 17 years 7 months he becomes the second youngest ever starter in the Premiership for the Blue & Blacks. He is joined by Ethan Lloyd who will win his first cap off the bench at 18. Both players have Wales Under 18 caps and have impressed in the Academy set up this season. Playing tomorrow will give them the opportunity to learn experiences, both good or bad, in the Premiership. Those experiences are both helpful and needed for their development and to help them reach their full potential.”

“This week’s game is the first of the double header against Ebbw Vale, next week we have the National Cup match, and we have been preparing for what the Steelmen will bring to the Arms Park. We know they have quality players, an excellent set piece and they will be looking to get a result here on Friday,”
