It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Matthew Hadley passed away very suddenly yesterday.
Matthew played in the back row at the club between 1980 – 1989 where he made 43 appearances for the 1st XV scoring 7 tries. He also captained the Athletic Team.
At the start of his rugby career he played for Cardiff Schools, East District Schools and Cardiff Youth and went on the club tour to Zimbabwe in 1980 .
Matthew was an all- round sportsman and an excellent golfer captaining Dinas Powis Golf Club in 2016.
Matthew was always a great supporter of the Former Players Association and attended various functions on many occasions. He was a very popular member of the Club and our Association where he had many close friends.
He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him and we send our deepest condolences to all his family at this very sad time.
